About the Baker

Hi, I'm Renee... a self-taught baker and pastry artist.  My interest in cooking and baking began when I left my professional life to work full time as a mom, back in 2012.  It started simply with cooking meals for the family, but blossomed into a fascination with nutrition, locally sourced foods, and learning to bake with whole, all natural ingredients.  

Baking became one of my real passions just a couple of years ago, and then a minor-obsession after taking a bread-baking class in the fall of 2018.  I love to bake homemade versions of the store-bought treats people love most.  Oreos, Nutter Butters, Graham Crackers, baguettes, bagels, and pita bread have all made multiple appearances in my kitchen.  I learned to decorate with buttercream back in 2000, long before my real baking passion began.  In 2018, I took a royal icing class and was absolutely enthralled.  

Sharing my treats with others is one of the real joys of my life.  I am so excited to be able to make my passion into a career, and look forward to bringing some sugar joy to your life!
